Polar Rose lets you search for people in photos. So far the service is in beta and relies on a community to tag photos with names. But before the end of this year the company will release a new version that crawls the web and automatically discover people in photos.
In this podcast Tomas Wennström talks to Polar Rose’s CEO Nikolaj Nyholm. Nikolaj talks about where Polar Rose is heading (face recognition is just the start), its competition (Google) and where visual search is heading the coming years.
